The Education Testing Council (ETC), established by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan in January 2017, serves as an independent testing service aimed at ensuring transparency, fairness, and merit in education and professional pursuits.
🏛️ A Supreme Court Mandate
In August 2018, the Supreme Court of Pakistan directed HEC to oversee assessment tests for LLB admissions and law graduates’ enrollment with the Pakistan Bar Council. To meet this crucial need, a revamped ETC was launched, approved in HEC’s 34th meeting.
