In a bid to modernize financial transactions and reduce reliance on cash during the festive season, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has launched a nationwide βGo Cashlessβ campaign ahead of Eidul Adha 2025.
π Campaign Timeline: May 19 β Eid Eve
Running from May 19 until the eve of Eid, the campaign is designed to encourage buyers and sellers to use digital financial services for purchasing sacrificial animals and making other festival-related payments.
The SBP, in collaboration with commercial banks, is promoting digital payment options across 54 designated cattle markets across Pakistan.

Buyers and sellers can access QR code, mobile banking, and POS services at 54 markets nationwide. - π Temporary Transaction Limit Increase:
To accommodate higher Eid-related spending, the SBP has temporarily increased digital transaction limits. This measure will remain in effect until June 15. - π€ Partnership with Banks:
The SBP is working closely with banks to ensure availability of digital infrastructure, customer support, and awareness campaigns at livestock markets.
