๐ง Major Upgrade in Pakistan’s Passport Issuance System
Pakistan has taken a significant step towards improving its passport issuance process with the installation of advanced e-passport printers. The arrival of two high-speed e-passport printers and six desktop printers from Germany in Karachi marks a major leap in efficiency and service quality.
๐ Faster, More Efficient Passport Printing
A foreign technical team has landed in Karachi to oversee the installation and operation of these new machines. Director-General of Passports, Mustafa Jamal Qazi, visited the e-printers section upon arrival and was briefed on the state-of-the-art technology being implemented.
๐ Key Features of the New System:
- โณ Printing Capacity: 1,000 passports per hour
- ๐ Enhanced Efficiency: Faster processing and reduced waiting times
- ๐ Global Standards: Commitment to top-tier passport services
๐ Doubling Production Capacity
This upgrade follows last yearโs introduction of 10 modern passport printers, which doubled the daily processing capacity from 20,000 to 40,000 passports. With the addition of the latest German-engineered printers, efficiency is expected to increase even further, significantly benefiting Pakistanis, particularly those traveling abroad.
๐ What’s Next for Passport Services?
Once fully operational, these printers will: โ Speed up passport issuance for applicants โ Minimize delays and backlogs โ Enhance service reliability for Pakistanis worldwide
๐ข A Game-Changer for Travelers! This upgrade reflects Pakistanโs commitment to embracing modern technology and ensuring that passport services meet global standards. If youโre planning to renew or apply for a passport, expect faster turnaround times and improved service!
