The National Transmission & Despatch Company (NTDC), now operating under the name National Grid Company (NGC), has officially launched its โGrid Girlsโ Internship Program 2025 โ a paid internship initiative exclusively for women, developed in collaboration with the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
This pioneering program is designed to empower female engineering students and recent graduates, offering them practical experience in electrical, electronics, and civil engineering projects.

The internship aims to bridge the gender gap in STEM fields by creating real-world engineering opportunities for women. Interns will not only participate in national-level infrastructure projects but also receive leadership coaching, mentorship, and professional development.
๐ Who Can Apply?
This opportunity is open to:
- Female students enrolled in Bachelorโs, Masterโs, or DAE programs in:
- Electrical Engineering
- Electronics Engineering
- Civil Engineering
- Recent graduates in the above fields
- Candidates with prior research or internship experience
- Applicants available for full-time participation
๐ผ Internship Structure & Cohorts
Cohort 1:
- ๐ Duration: 2 months
- ๐ฏ For: 3rd-year undergraduates (5th/6th semester) and 1st/2nd semester Masterโs students
- ๐ Focus: Hands-on experience on national engineering projects
Cohort 2:
- ๐ Duration: 1 month (overlaps with Cohort 1)
- ๐ฏ For: Undergraduates from 2nd semester to final year, including TVET students
- ๐ Focus: Learning-based and exploratory experience
