Great news for internet users in Punjab! The Punjab government has expanded its free Wi-Fi service, adding more hotspots across the province and upgrading to Wi-Fi 6 technology for faster and more reliable internet access.


Expanding Coverage Across Punjab

In Lahore, the number of free Wi-Fi hotspots has increased from 200 to 230, ensuring broader coverage. The Safe Cities Authority now provides free internet at 300 locations across 11 districts, including:

Kasur, Nankana Sahib, Sheikhupura, Sialkot, Gujrat, Jhelum, and Attock Key locations in Sahiwal, Okara, and Murree Plans for further expansion are in progress!


Who’s Using It? The Numbers Speak!

Since its launch, over 17.7 million users have accessed Punjab’s free Wi-Fi, consuming a massive 438 terabytes of data. This initiative is making the internet more accessible for students, professionals, and the general public.

Note: The service is primarily for emergency use and does not support video streaming or entertainment.
