Nestlé Pakistan has taken a bold step toward environmental sustainability by launching a 100,000 trees urban forest plantation drive in collaboration with the Capital Development Authority (CDA) Islamabad. This initiative, under the Nestlé Cares program, aligns with the company’s mission to reduce its carbon footprint and achieve Net Zero by 2050.

The plantation drive was inaugurated by Romina Khurshid Alam, Coordinator to the Prime Minister on Climate Change. Speaking at the event, she emphasized the power of public-private partnerships in combating climate change:
“Planting an urban forest is a great example of what we can achieve together. This initiative is not just about trees – it’s about securing a greener, healthier future for generations to come.”

🌳 What’s Being Planted?
The urban forest will feature 100,000 indigenous trees, including:
- Kachnar
- Sukhchain
- Sapium
- Amaltas
- Jacaranda
These species were carefully chosen to promote biodiversity and support local ecosystems.
