Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has unveiled a series of major initiatives aimed at students and underprivileged communities. From a free laptop program to financial aid for brides, these programs are designed to uplift the province and set new benchmarks in governance.
💻 Free Laptop Program for Students
In a move to boost education and digital access, KP’s free laptop program aims to distribute devices matching Punjab’s ratio. This initiative ensures that students across KP have the technological resources needed to excel in their studies and careers.
🏥 Healthcare & Insurance for All
Gandapur urged Punjab to replicate KP’s Sehat Card Plus—a comprehensive health insurance scheme—and newly launched life insurance initiative. These programs provide financial protection against medical emergencies, ensuring every citizen gets the healthcare they deserve.
📈 KP’s Financial Success vs. Punjab’s Deficit
Highlighting KP’s economic achievements, Gandapur reported: ✅ 55% increase in provincial revenue, compared to Punjab’s 12% growth ✅ Budget surplus of Rs176 billion, contrasting with Punjab’s Rs146 billion deficit ✅ Meeting IMF targets, while Punjab struggles with fiscal shortfalls
💰 Financial Aid for Brides
To support underprivileged families, the KP government has pledged Rs200,000 in financial assistance for 4,000 deserving brides. This initiative aims to ease the financial burden of marriage for low-income families.
🔥 Challenge to Punjab
In a bold statement, Gandapur challenged Punjab’s leadership, asserting that KP’s governance and financial management surpass their counterparts. He called for similar welfare initiatives in Punjab to ensure equal benefits for citizens across provinces.
